RIPPLE

news platform Concept

UI/UX

Visual Identity

RIPPLE is a responsive, experimental news platform that divides information into section pieces.

Overview

Structured around the metaphor of a ripple effect, each news story is broken into three digestible sections: Drop (where it started), Ripple (how it unfolded), and Wave (its current impact).

Wireframes & Grids

Onboarding

Ripple uses a modular, card-based article system that allows readers to navigate news in a timeline format — sliding between Drop (origin), Ripple (developments), and Wave (current impact).

Visual System

Process & Research

Sliding between cards makes reading feel active and story-driven, instead of passive scrolling.

The concept works around the idea of allowing users to understand world-wide events in a unique timeline format.

The motion of sliding mimics the “ripple” concept — movement, progression, and flow. This modular design can be reused for all articles while keeping content adaptable across desktop and mobile.
